One of my main concerns is: how can I make a difference? There are thousands of political blogs out there. It’s easy to get lost in that ocean. So I may blog about politics on occasion, or I may blog about health issues, depending on where my interests lead me, and where I feel I can contribute something of significance.

Mash, at Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying, seems to be worried that the United States is planning a nuclear first strike against Iran.

Retired Air Force Col. Sam Gardiner, an expert in targeting and war games, says, "The Bush administration is very close to being left with only the military option" regarding dealing with Iran, and since conventional weapons at this point would likely be ineffective, that leaves the nuclear option high on the list.

Mash says “May our children forgive us” if we hit Iran with nuclear weapons. Our children already have a lot to forgive us for. Yes, let us hope we don’t add a nuclear first strike to the list.
