The Tao of Politics

One of my main concerns is: how can I make a difference? There are thousands of political blogs out there. It’s easy to get lost in that ocean. So I may blog about politics on occasion, or I may blog about health issues, depending on where my interests lead me, and where I feel I can contribute something of significance.

Just when everybody was talking about John Kerry, George W. Bush brought the campaign back to the issue of Iraq by saying that both Vice President Cheney and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld will be in their jobs until 2009. So what you’re saying is, that’s more of the same, right? Stay the course, right? Thank you, thank you, thank you for getting us back on topic.

Real Clear Politics still has the Democrats leading in six Senate races. Reuters-Zogby has pretty much the same thing. today has the US House shaping up to be 241 to 193 Democratic. That would be a pickup of forty seats, right? Major shift! (BTW, Jean Schmidt, of OH-2, is trailing her challenger by a slight margin. Thank you, Lord.)
