The Tao of Politics

One of my main concerns is: how can I make a difference? There are thousands of political blogs out there. It’s easy to get lost in that ocean. So I may blog about politics on occasion, or I may blog about health issues, depending on where my interests lead me, and where I feel I can contribute something of significance.

Remembering New Orleans

Today is not the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina’s striking the Gulf Coast, but I want to remember that event anyway. We should remember it every day of every week of every month of every year forever. I don’t think we have remembered it enough so far. In fact I think the people of New Orleans have often been forgotten in the past year. So today I remember the victims of Katrina, and I dedicate this song to them:

The Sailor, by Ed Bremson

I’m thinking about you, people of New Orleans, all of you, with love and compassion. Others are thinking of you as well. May all your troubles be over someday soon.
