One of my main concerns is: how can I make a difference? There are thousands of political blogs out there. It’s easy to get lost in that ocean. So I may blog about politics on occasion, or I may blog about health issues, depending on where my interests lead me, and where I feel I can contribute something of significance.

Did anyone hear about this: when Israel bombed a site in Lebanon recently, apparently it caused an oil spill that is now threatening catastrophic results in the Mediterranean.

High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and obesity, the same factors that increase one’s risk of heart disease, also increase one’s risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

Eating bacon, sausage and smoked ham increase one’s risk of developing stomach cancer.
