One of my main concerns is: how can I make a difference? There are thousands of political blogs out there. It’s easy to get lost in that ocean. So I may blog about politics on occasion, or I may blog about health issues, depending on where my interests lead me, and where I feel I can contribute something of significance.

What did I say yesterday about the military and the all-volunteer army? Today they are reporting that hate groups are infiltrating the military. And we wonder why we have such problems in Iraq?

Somebody wants to hear what Al Gore has to say. He’s being invited to speak at a Wal-Mart conference on sustainability.

Does anyone want to bet on who will be our next president? Here are the current odds, and a link to Sportsbook.com. Looks like Hillary’s the favorite right now among odds makers.

Sales of organic foods are increasing by 15 to 21 percent a year. I have often wished there was more incentive for food producers to grow organic. Maybe the current high demand will serve as that incentive. I would like to see everything organic. I think we’d have healthier people if that was the case.

Here is an article extolling the virtues of the Mediterranean Diet. It goes further, however, and speculates that this diet may be better for the heart than low-fat diets.
